I kicked June off with an engagement session for Stephanie and Andy in one of my fave places — the redwoods! This is only the 2804532 time I’ve shot among them (kidding, closer to 7 — by far the most frequent setting requested) and somehow it never gets old. Steph has been following me on social for ages and it was so fun to finally get to meet in person! Andy grew up in Sebastopol (20 minutes outside of Occidental) and couldn’t believe he didn’t know this hidden gem of a forest existed. I was so excited to hear that and be able to show it off to them!! Steph told me ahead of time that they had never taken professional photos before, in part because Andy hates having his photo taken. But like, would you ever in a million years guess that from looking at these photos?! NO, they are gorgeous naturals. They are also contagiously in love, even after eight years together. Their chemistry felt palpable, and was honestly so inspiring! Tell me you cannot feel their love and joy radiating out of these images. It’s fine, I’ll wait.
