If I had to guess, that dream probably involves rolling hills of vineyards with a few bottles of world-class wine sprinkled in, maybe some special-occasion indulgences.
You want to get married somewhere in wine country that feels unique and personal to you. Not a cookie-cutter venue, and not a production. Just... yours.
That's where I come in. I don't just show up with a camera; I help design and guide you through the entire experience.

Almost nowhere else can you easily experience coastal redwoods, sunny picturesque vineyards, and sunset on the rugged bluffs over the Pacific Ocean coast in one day. Sonoma is the ultimate adventure elopement destination.
Napa elopements tend to feel more elegant and refined without being stuffy. Think: intimate ceremony on a hillside overlooking the valley, champagne toast in a private garden, sunset portraits between vine rows that stretch to the mountains.
This is Northern California wine country at its most intimate: family-run tasting rooms, apple orchards mixed with pinot noir vineyards, redwood groves that open into expansive valleys, and barely anyone around.

Your choice depends on what kind of experience you're craving: Sonoma gives you the most diversity (redwoods, coast, vineyards), Napa feels more elegant and upscale, and Anderson Valley offers uncrowded remoteness. I'll help you figure out which region matches your vision during our discovery call.
This could be a private family-owned vineyard, a public redwood grove, a coastal overlook, or even the backyard of a vacation rental with big views. I scout locations for every couple and send you specific GPS coordinates, photo examples, and honest assessments so you can make confident decisions about your ceremony spot.
Some locations don't require anything, while others need advance reservations or special-use permits. Private vineyards typically just require advance booking (and maybe a small site fee or wine purchase), while public lands like Armstrong Redwoods need permits that cost $200 (the same is true for all CA state parks). I'll tell you exactly what's required for your chosen locations and how to get it.
This is where your day becomes uniquely yours. Do you want to start with a sunrise hot air balloon ride above the vineyards? Book a few vineyard tours and tastings? Include a picnic in the redwoods? Have a private chef create a custom 4-course meal for you? I help you design an experience that incorporates the experiences that matter most to you, whether that's multiple locations, quiet downtime, adventure activities, or a celebratory meal together.
With your locations and activities decided, we create a detailed timeline that builds in space to breathe. This isn't a minute-by-minute schedule that feels rigid — it's a flexible framework that ensures you have enough time in each location without feeling rushed. I account for drive times, lighting conditions, and realistic pacing drawn on years of experienceso your day feels unhurried and present rather than a checklist you're racing through (which leads to your wedding feeling like a blur).
Most couples who want to elope in wine country have never seen it done before. You're creating something from scratch, and that's both exciting and also completely overwhelming — but luckily you don't have to navigate it alone.
I help couples design intimate, authentic wedding experiences through Sonoma, Napa, and beyond — then document them in a way that feels effortless while you're living it.
I'm not just showing up with a camera. I'm helping you figure out what your day should actually look like: which locations match your vibe and values, how to create a timeline that feels unhurried, which vendors I trust, and how to navigate family expectations when you're doing something different than they imagined.

Maybe you want to start your day in Armstrong Redwoods and end with sunset at a Dry Creek Valley vineyard. Maybe you want an intimate Napa estate ceremony followed by a celebratory dinner in Yountville. Maybe you want a mix of locations that shows off wine country's diversity.
Whatever your wine country elopement looks like, the point isn't to check boxes — it's to create an experience that feels like you.

Eloping in California can cost anywhere from $500 to $15,000 or more — it just depends on your preferences and priorities when creating your wedding celebration. This includes things like flights, transportation, lodging, photography, and customized experiences like a private chef, hot air balloon ride, and private vineyard tours.
My wine country elopement experiences start at $8,250 for a full-day elopement and $6,100 for a half-day.
What's Included in Your Wine Country Elopement Investment:
My elopement packages include everything you need to design and document your day — I'm not just your photographer, I'm your elopement experience architect. You can see detailed package information and what's included on my main pricing page, or we can discuss your specific needs on a discovery call.
You can absolutely visit multiple locations during your elopement — and most of my couples do! Wine country's beauty is that you can experience incredible diversity, from Russian River Valley vineyards to Dry Creek Valley's family wineries to Healdsburg's upscale wine country charm. A typical day might look like: morning portraits in coastal redwoods, ceremony in a vineyard, golden hour on the Sonoma Coast. I'll help you create a timeline that feels unhurried while still letting you see multiple landscapes.
No, permits are usually only required on public land like regional and state parks. For private vineyards, most family-owned wineries in Sonoma and Napa are happy to host intimate elopements — some charge a small site fee, others just ask that you purchase wine or book a tasting. I'll help you navigate exactly what you need based on where you want to go.
Wine country can be crowded, depending on the day of the week and the time of year that you're visiting. It's important to consider timing when choosing your elopement date: weekdays are a good option any time of year; early spring and fall are your best bets for the middle of a Venn diagram with ideal weather and minimal crowds.
During our planning process, I'll ask you how important privacy is to you and recommend locations accordingly. If "no other humans in our photos" is non-negotiable, we'll build your day around private vineyards, off-the-beaten-path redwood groves, and strategic timing.
The short answer: you'll have the clear umbrellas and body warmers I keep on hand for couples to keep you warm and dry; beyond that, some of the fun and magic lies in embracing what Mother Nature has to offer.
The long answer: if you're eloping in a season with a higher risk of wet weather, during our planning process we'll identify both your ideal locations and backup options that work in wet weather: covered areas at wineries, redwood groves that provide natural shelter, or even beautiful home rental properties if you want to pivot entirely.
If weather makes you anxious, we can also talk about seasonal timing when choosing your wedding date (late spring through early fall has the most reliable weather).
I recommend booking your winery elopement 6-12 months in advance, especially if you're planning for peak season (May-September). That said, I've worked with couples who planned everything in 4-6 weeks, so if you're on a shorter timeline, reach out anyway. The bottom line: the earlier you start planning and contacting your vendors, the less stress and more options you end up with.
