One of the greatest things about choosing to elope is that you can do it anywhere. Whether it’s just you two or you’re bringing along a handful of guests, short-term rentals are a great option as the setting for your wedding celebration. This goes for both a destination event and somewhere local! If you’re thinking about eloping in the forests of Northern California (or maybe this will be a spark of inspiration for you) and need to check accommodations off your planning list, you’ll want to scroll through this post. Here are seven of my favorite Cazadero elopement Airbnbs!
Cazadero Airbnbs for Couple-Only Stays
#1.
This wood cabin is perfect if you’re craving something cozy tucked away in the forest. Is it giving woodland nymph vibes or what? As a bonus, the host allows dogs if you want to bring yours along for the celebration!

#2.
This private loft-style studio is tucked away on a dead-end street surrounded by forest; the deck would be a perfect spot to start and end your day with coffee and a delicious dinner!

#3.
If you’d prefer to have more water featured in your Cazadero elopement Airbnb, you’ll love this cottage situated in a private bend on Austin Creek. It’s the perfect swimming hole spot and the wide bank would be epic for your first look, portraits, and/or ceremony.

Cazadero Airbnbs for Small-Group Stays (you and 6-10 guests)
#4.
If you’re planning something on the larger side, this stunning property would be an incredible place to host a multi-day getaway celebration with your closest 10-15 people. Imagine this: coffee overlooking the fog rolling into the valleys below, lounging on the poolside chaises with a view of distant ridgetops in the afternoon, cocktails and a few pool games with 180º windows, wandering the 700+ acre property (featuring open rolling hills and redwood forest trails), dinner outside watching the sunset, an evening sipping champagne while soaking in the in-ground garden spa tub, and ending with the stargazing views that only come with being out in the country far from city lights. Dreamy AF, right?

#5.
With all kinds of nooks and crannies to enjoy (you can find this rental featured in this couple’s elopement day!), this is a highly versatile property to support a small group dinner, portraits, and more. I mean, have you seen a more epic hot tub setup than within a ring of redwoods? I’ll wait…

#6.
This property is a little smaller than the previous, but equally suited to a group celebration under the redwoods, and adjacent to Austin Creek to boot. Not quite deep enough in the summer to swim, but it’s perfect for wading, and the wide bank is idyllic to wander along for portraits.

#7.
This rental is perfect for entertaining outdoors with multiple distinct spaces, including a deck, wide flat patio, and lawn under the redwoods. Also of note are beautiful gardens and a hot tub at the edge of the yard below the lawn looking out at the far ridgetop. We love a good soaking view!

Cazadero Airbnbs for Micro-Group Stays (you and 2-4 guests)
#8.
All I can think of when looking at this creekside cottage is a romantic dinner on the flagstone under the string lights with a soundtrack of birds coming out at sunset. Such a dreamy summer experience! Possibly my other favorite feature is the wood-paneled, sunlit loft for two guests to sleep in (I’m a sucker for cozy lofts).

#9.
If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate with big vista views, this bright bungalow is for you. I’m obsessed with the way the light fills the main common room!

#10.
Speaking of vista views, if you want to take things to the next level, this elevated “treehouse” for six might be for you! This property features a detached guest house, hot tub & sauna, and a super cozy outdoor sofa and seating around a fire pit on the deck. What a way to enjoy a sunrise and/or sunset!

There you have it: ten beautiful Cazadero elopement Airbnbs! Perusing sites like Airbnb and Zillow to find homes like these is so fun for me; I just love getting to see all the different types of properties out there. Especially when they’re in my backyard — I can’t even begin to tell you how many hidden gems are tucked away in the mountains here!
Also, shameless plug here: just a reminder that I live on the Russian River (0.3 miles away to be exact) in Guerneville so if a local guide and $0 travel fees make eloping here sound even BETTER, send me a note here and let’s chat about your dream day!
