If you’re thinking about migrating from Honeybook to Dubsado, you’re probably overwhelmed at imagining how! I definitely was when I made the switch. Let me be the first to tell you: it’s completely doable, without tears! Maintaining access to your Honeybook account

When I was migrating from Honeybook to Dubsado at the very end of my yearly subscription, understandably what I was most concerned about was losing access to HB and being on a literal deadline to be “moved out”. It turns out I didn’t need to be!

When you cancel your Honeybook membership, you go down to a free trial and you just can’t create new projects, but you still have access to the rest of your current ones. Another bonus is that your clients will also still be able to pay their remaining invoices (if you don’t want to migrate all that) until the balance is 0, however long that takes. Woohoo!

Migrating your forms

Guess what: you don’t need to do all the work when you transfer to Dubsdao! Their white glove service offers to create 10 new forms for you; all you have to do is provide the copy and they’ll turn it into interactive forms inside your account. Honeybook provides a similar service, so I would consider this pretty standard.

I decided not to bother with this service, and instead did it all myself. However, it was super easy! I had two windows open side-by-side (one in HB, one in Dubs) and copy/pasted all the information in my contracts, questionnaires, and forms one by one. It was a little tedious but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting!

Migrating your emails

I saved the best for last: your emails are actually the EASIEST part to migrate from Honeybook to Dubsado!! In Honeybook you can export a project’s entire email chain/history as one PDF; I did that and uploaded it into the client’s Dubsado project so they would still have access to it forever. So easy! I looked through Honeybook’s FAQ pages for a tutorial to link but couldn’t find anything, so if you can’t figure out how to do this inside your projects, get in touch with their support! That’s what I did and it was a quick answer.
